Description

Diese Vase aus weißgelblichem Opalglas ist durch Sepia-Malerei mit einem in für den Historismus typischen Palmetten-Dekor veredelt. Die Glasfarbe imitiert gleichsam Keramik- bzw. Steingut-Gefäße, was an die Materialkonkurrenz von Glas und Porzellan erinnert. Dieses Stück vermittelt eine Nachahmung des Steinguts in Glas. Ein/e Glasmaler*in trug auf das durch Kühlung entspannte Glas die Farbe auf. Die beiden Henkel geben der Vase eine antikisierende Anmutung
