Ein Tintenfass ist ein Behälter zur Aufbewahrung von Tinte für die Anfertigung von Handschriften mittels einer Schreibfeder. Das Tintenfass war jahrhundertelang bis zur Erfindung des Füllfederhalters ein unentbehrliches Utensil für handschriftliche Mitteilungen. Auch in der Diensstube des Posthalters war das Tintenfass unverzichtbar.
