Ballonkorb aus dem Königlich Preussischen Aeronautischen Observatorium in Lindenberg bei Beeskow. Mit solchen Körben wurden Ballonaufstiege zur Untersuchung der höheren Luftschichten unternommen. Im April 1906 gelang Alfred Wegener mit seinem Bruder Kurt Wegener eine Weltrekord-Fahrt von 52 Stunden.
