Der impressive Film von 1968 zeigt das Leben in der Großstadt Berlin, beginnend vom morgendlichen Berufsverkehr in der U-Bahn an der Schönhauser Allee bis hin zum geschäftigen Treiben in Berlins Mitte. Die Aufnahmen sind mit thematisch und rhythmisch passenden Melodien unterlegt.
