Bei diesem Bügeleisen handelt es sich um ein Glüstoffbügeleisen. Ein sogenannter Glühbolzen (Dalli-Glühstoff-Briketts) wurde außerhalb des Bügeleisens angezündet und in das Eisen eingesetzt. Dazu wurde das obere Teil des Bügeleisens aufgeklappt. Der Glühstoff konnte bis zu 10 Stunden ununterbrochen glühen. Im Vergleich zum Kohlebügeleisen gab es keine Staub-, Ruß- oder Giftstoffaustritte. Das Bügeleisen steht auf einer Abstellplatte.
