Das Potsdamer Stadtschloss, ein Barockschloss, erstreckte sich auf einer Fläche zwischen dem Alten Markt und dem heutigen Hotel Mercure am Lustgarten in der Stadtmitte von Potsdam. Es entstand an der Stelle einer früheren Befestigungsanlage, unter verschiedenen Kurfürsten und wurde erst zur Burg, später zum Schloss ausgebaut. Sein endgültiges Aussehen erhielt es unter Friedrich II. und Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff in den Jahren 1744-1751. Signatur/Beschriftung: Gez. Loeillot.; Gest. v. Lacey.; Verlag v. G.
