In der Platte oben links signiert und datiert: "Rembrandt f / 1640".
Brustbild von vorn eines bärtigen Mannes mit Pelzkappe und Mantel, der eine Hand vor der Brust hält und nach rechts schaut.
August Wredow erwarb das Blatt für einen Reichstaler und 15 Silbergroschen in der Kunsthandlung H. Sagert & Co. in Berlin. | Wolfgang Rose
