Das Bildnis einer jungen Frau in Phantasiekostüm und rotem Samtbarett wurde unter König Friedrich II. von Preußen seit spätestens 1773 im Schloss Sanssouci in einem der Gästezimmer als Werk des holländischen Malers Jan Lievens präsentiert. Es handelt sich jedoch um eine alte Kopie nach einem um 1635-1640 entstandenen Gemälde in Privatbesitz aus dem Umkreis von Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn. Gelegentlich wurde die Nähe zu Bildnissen von Rembrandts Ehefrau Saskia von Uylenburgh erkannt - die Identifizierung wird heute jedoch nicht mehr aufrechterhalten. Seit 1961 wird das Gemälde in der Bildergalerie von Sanssouci gezeigt. Dr. Alexandra Nina Bauer
