Rechteckiges Firmenschild: H. Hipkow & Co. Mühlenbauanstalt, Maschinenfabrik u. Eisengiesserei. Gassen, N/L (Niederlausitz)

Die Firma wird 1873 durch Heinrich Hipkow gegründet. Ab 1911 leitet K. Wiegand das Unternehmen unter dem Namen Hipkow & Co. allein weiter. Hipkow-Maschinen haben eine bedeutende Stellung in der ganzen Welt.

Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg findet die Produktion in frei gewordenen Hallen der Fa. Zündapp in Nürnberg statt, sodass die Müllereimaschinen unter dem Namen Hipkow-Zündapp wieder aufgenommen werden. 1949 werden die Fabrikhallen durch die Fa. Zündapp gekündigt, ganze Firma wird geschlossen.
