Das Schofarhorn ist ein Musikinstrument, das beispielsweise an dem zwei Tage andauernden Rosh ha-Shanah geblasen wird. Es besteht aus dem Horn eines koscheren Tieres; in der Regel aus dem eines Widders oder eines Kudus. Das Horn erinnert an die durch Gott vereitelte Opferung Isaaks durch Abraham. An Isaaks Stelle opferte Abraham einen Widder.
