Basetthorn nach Gras 1788-1792. Das Bassetthorn ist ein um 1770 erfundenes Klarinetteninstrument in Altlage. Charakteristisch ist die abgeknickte Form des Rohres. Mozart hat dieses Instrument, das im Gegensatz zur tieferen Klarinette eher kühl und silbrig klingt, in seiner Kammermusik, in der Oper sowie im Requiem verwendet.

Holz, Messing, Knochen: Ahorn mit Elfenbeinringen, Schallstück gehämmert. 7 Messingklappen.
