Description

Äußerer Pilaster Loggia VI: Pfeiler mit tanzenden Mädchen; nach Raffael. Kupferstich und Radierung von Giovanni Volpato, aus der Serie „Loggie di Rafaele nel Vaticano“, Bd. III, Tafel 4, 1777.
Zentrales Element der Darstellung ist eine Verzierung mit verschiedenen figürlichen Ornamenten und dem Bild eines turmartigen Gebäudes, die tanzenden Mädchen befinden sich im untersten Bildfeld, rechts und links davon Medaillons mit mythologischen Szenen, im mittleren Sockelfeld Bild einer Meerjungfrau.
Beschriftet am oberen Plattenrand links: „N.° 4'“; direkt unter der Darstellung links: „Ludovicus Teseo Taurinensis delin.“; in der Mitte: „Cum Privilegio SS.m̄i. Dñi. Nři. Clementis XIV.“; rechts: „Joannes Volpato sculp. Romæ 1774“.
